Head of Talent & People Operations

Looking for new opportunities and advancement? Our established aerospace manufacturing client is seeking a Head of Talent & People Operations to shape the organization’s strategic direction. Reporting to the CEO, this key leadership role will oversee and manage all human resources functions, and directly contribute to the alignment and success of the organization’s goals with a focus on employee and leadership development, recruitment, retention, and engagement.

Based in Mississauga, this role is an in-office position with the opportunity for occasional work from home days each month.

As the Head of Talent & People Operations, you will champion initiatives that cultivate an inclusive culture while ensuring compliance, fiscal responsibility, and talent development required for business growth.

Your responsibilities will include advising and influencing leadership on the “people impact” of business decisions, developing HR strategies that support the organization’s strategic objectives, and implementing effective employee engagement and retention strategies. As an HR expert and member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will stay updated on industry trends and best practices and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while promoting a strong employer brand.

This position leads a team of 14 staff who guide and support health & safety, recruitment, compensation and benefits, and learning and development.

You are an empathetic, forward-thinking leader with a proven record of delivering successful HR strategies, change management initiatives, succession planning, and process improvements among others. You thrive on identifying opportunities for growth and increased collaboration, and lead change management initiatives with a results-driven approach and exceptional communication skills.

Previous experience in the aircraft industry, manufacturing, or production environment is an asset.
